10/25/13

We've reached the last weekend of October already - how does that happen so fast?

Inventory
Inventory reports are due. See the link at the top of the blog. Please make every effort to make sure your numbers are exact. You'd be amazed at how long it takes to investigate an error. So double check your numbers please, and make sure you've reported all of your personal sales. Your accuracy is greatly appreciated!

ScripNow!
Last weekend a Scrip supporter used ScripNow! to the tune of $2,400. He didn't have to wait for cards from me, he could just purchase and print Scrip at his computer and go right to the store.

A good question came up this week - isn't it easier to just purchase new cards? Here's why ScripNow and reloads are SO helpful to our program:

No need for ALA to order so many cards.
No need for us to count the cards and stickers the cards.
No need for us to send you the cards.
No need for me to track the card in the computer.
No need for you to report the sale of the card.

So please familiarize yourself with the virtual Scrip options available to our supporters at ShopwithScrip.com. And feel free to ask any questions that come up - I'm happy to help!

Sales Update
Yesterday I was able to review our September sales numbers and compare them to last year. Last year oursales were $150,000 for September while they were just $100,000 for this year. While we've lost 1/3 of our sales volume, remember that Fry's and Fry's reloads accounted for 2/3 of our program. So he haven't lost as much ground as I had feared. Of course we've had to work harder to reach that $100,000 for September since that does not include any reloads that happened without any effort on our part. So I thank you for stepping up to the plate, promoting Scrip, and keeping on top of your sales and orders!

Basha's Reloads
A quick reminder that Basha's continues to reload their Scrip gift cards at the store. So pass this reminder along to your Basha's shoppers so that their Basha's Scrip is more convenient for them and for us.
