Hi everyone!

It's sad to think that three weeks of summer have already passed. It seems that summer just gets shorter and shorter!

Scrip Statements
But much has been happening in the Scrip office. Scrip statements that need to be mailed are sitting in the mailbox. Statements that can be emailed are scheduled to go out on Sunday. Please let your people know that they need to take action on these statements quickly if they want to designate their profits to a church/school or student. The deadline is July 5. That gives you the next three Sundays to remind them.

Also, I am not sending out statements for the churches. We will just send the shared dollars to the churches when Mr. Mueller writes the checks in the middle of July.

Fewer Cards?
I encourage you to talk up the online reload and ScripNow! as well as the MyScripWallet web app on smartphones. I had a supporter say to me, "Wow, this is great, ALA doesn't have to buy cards anymore!" While that may not be the case for another 5-10 years, we certainly are moving toward that day. I'm only hearing excitement from people who learn about MyScripWallet, and even greater excitement when they use the app inside a store and earn Scrip rebates within minutes. So when you sell a card with a sticker on it, be sure to mention the online and phone options that people have so that they too can experience the ease of never needing to buy another card. (And you'll have fewer and fewer cards to track - ahhhhh!!!)

A couple of things to watch for:

New form
We will have a new Scrip enrollment form for you for 2014-2015. We will accept these via paper but I'm working toward an online form to avoid extra postage and paper filing. Stay tuned.

Save the date!
John Sebald and I would like to meet with you in August. We will get together with our Valley Scrip reps on Sunday, August 17 and with our Tucson and Casa Grande Scrip reps on Sunday, August 24. We're looking forward to thanking you in person, and we'd like to put our heads together to see how we can better serve your families with Scrip with both the plastic and virtual Scrip options that now exist. We're looking for your ideas on how to motivate and educate your people about the free dollars that the Scrip program provides for our students.

New brochures & bulletin inserts
With Scrip statements on their way, I will have available time to focus on some marketing tools to send out to you. Keep an eye out for those.

Schedule
I will be out of the office tomorrow June 13 as well as June 25 - July 6. No Scrip will be mailed out the week of June 29. Let's plan on doing inventory reports on July 6.
