Hi everybody,

We've completed two weeks of school, wow!

I have a couple of encouragements and requests for you this week:

Inventory management
As you get to know your Scrip customers, you'll learn how many cards to carry of each retailer. If a customer asks you for something you don't carry as a rule, be sure to collect money for the card(s). Do not just order the card(s). If they order a larger number of something also collect money for the card(s). Just remember to collect money for every sale, whether you have the card or not.

If they request something we simply don't carry in our main inventory (Toys R Us, Cracker Barrel $25, Dillards $100, etc.), definitely collect money. I won't order any of these cards unless they're paid for.

When we don't follow this policy we end up with unsold odd cards. We currently have a number of those, thus my reminder to you.

Cash
Please identify with a sticky note or other slip of paper WHO you are sending cash from. It makes entering payments go a whole lot quicker than if I have to open up your reporting file to figure it out.

New People?
I encourage you to meet somebody new at your church or school who you know doesn't buy Scrip yet. Make a new friend, and explain the Scrip program to them. I've been extremely encouraged by the new people that are getting involved with the Scrip program. There is a lot of interest out there, so go seek it out!

Inventory
Is NOT due this week. August has five Sundays, so we will do inventory on August 31!
