I think things are finally shifting back to normal for the Scrip program. It was definitely a challenging holiday season without the Fry's reloading option. But now we're back to a normal pace and it feels much better!
Reloading grocery cards
While we no longer have the Fry's reloading option, we DO still have the opportunity to reload 5 different grocery store Scrip cards. Won't you take advantage of this personally? In this way you can tell our Scrip supporters firsthand just how easy it is to reload!
Basha's - reloadable at the store - no need for ALA to purchase additional cards directly from Basha's
Albertsons and Safeway, Target and Whole Foods - these are all easily reloadable at ShopwithScrip.com. They can even be reloaded via smart phones when you're at the store. YOU already have an account set up (you use that account each Sunday to order new inventory), so just choose the reload option for your favorite card and give it a try. You'll be amazed at how quickly the funds are loaded onto your card. And then you don't need a new card!
Please encourage the virtual Scrip products to our supporters. You did a great job of encouraging Fry's reloading, and I know you can do it with the wonderful virtual products that are now available. In so doing you'll not only be helping ALA but you'll also be helping families raise even more dollars for their tuition accounts.
Fry's Community RewardsWe recently received a $2,100 check from Fry's for the Community Rewards program which represents funds from 9/1-11/30. This compares to $16,000/quarter in previous years. We have some ground to make up!
Kohl's ScripNow!
Kohl's recently began offering ScripNow! which you can purchase and print right at your computer at ShopwithScrip.com. ScripNow! can easily be used to pay Kohl's charge card accounts. Spread the word so that your supporters can easily earn Scrip profits when they pay their Kohl's bill!
ALA still has a number of Harkins Loyalty Cup vouchers on hand. I suggest that you stock some of these vouchers on hand since people are still buying them for the year.

Our Scrip vendor offers smaller denomination cards several times a year. We still have some of the cards left:

FAQ brochure
This week I was finally able to update the FAQ brochure and remove all references to Fry's. It is available on the Scrip website as well as one of the links above on this blog.
Files on the Blog
Be sure to use the most up-to-date reporting files and orders as available in the top links on this blog. Some files are hosted on Google drive, so downloading the file may act a little differently than you're expecting. If you run into troubles, please ask me for direction. The most common error is that you need to download the file. This is often available under the file menu. You can successfully disregard errors you receive and continue forward in the download process.
