Here's the latest:
We have finally sold out of our Harkins $10 cards. Harkins offers these $10 cards only at the holidays, and ALA purchases a large quantity to have on hand for the year. The cards will be available in November again.
Remember that we are now charging a convenience fee for anyone using a credit or debit card. This fee is 2.75% to cover our costs of running the credit or debit card. Be sure to tell anyone who wishes to use credit or debit to pay for their Scrip.
Finally be sure to spread the word that ALA is sharing 70% of supporters' rebates with them in September! This is a great month for people to develop the habit of using Scrip every time they spend money.

Great job on the inventory reports everybody! I don't think I've ever gotten things reconciled quite so quickly, and it was due to so much accuracy on your part. Yay!
Final numbers are in, and ALA shared over $11,000 with your congregations and your students' tuition accounts in the elementary schools. ALA students received almost $9,000 in Scrip rebate tuition credits, while the ALA tuition assistance fund received just shy of $1,500. While it's fun to see these final numbers, I can't help but think of all the rebates that weren't taken advantage by the people in our schools and our congregations. YOU are the mouthpiece of the ALA Scrip program in your churches and schools, so please ponder how you can encourage and promote the Scrip program in your particular situation. So much money goes unused, but with your help we can take advantage of these dollars and grow the program to be even more beneficial to our families and our ministries!
If you need any printed materials to help in spreading the word about the Scrip program be sure to ask. If you'd like to print them yourself, many items are linked above. If you'd like something new designed to fit your situation, just throw me the idea and I'll see what I can do!

Hello everyone!
Scrip rebate statements are going in the mail/email this afternoon! Please speak to and/or email your Scrip supporters and urge them to do their designation ASAP. The deadline is 7/1 and we want to get money out to the schools/church/supporters no later than 7/15.
If they don't get a statement direct them to their junk/spam folder. Or it may be that their shared rebates were not over $10, our cutoff point. They're welcome to email me if they don't receive it and I'll make sure they get it.

I've almost finished reconciling the inventories. As soon as I'm finished and all cards are accounted for, I will have accurate rebate numbers ready to share. I will be sending out rebate statements no later than Friday June 12. Please please please encourage your supporters to check their email (including their spam and junk folders) to get their statement and to designate their dollars. I will do my very best to send reminder emails to those who don't respond immediately, but it would be great if people would just respond immediately. Email and internet make it so easy to do!
I'm seeing a little uptick in ScripNow! and reload use - yay!!! Please encourage your people to try these great ways to earn Scrip rebates without the cost of purchasing and shipping cards to you, not to mention the uncertainty and delay of the post office! If you're not familiar with using ScripNow! or reloading a card, use your ShopwithScrip account to try it out. Let me know if you have questions.

ALA's school year is coming to a close! Just a few notes for you:
1. The last Sunday for supporters to accumulate rebates for this school year is May 31.
2. Scrip rebate statements will be sent out by June 15. Please advise your supporters to watch their email (including spam or junk folders) closely. I will do everything I can to send out reminder emails to those who don't respond. But people WILL have to check their emails.
3. Scrip supporters will be asked to respond no later than July 1 so that we can distribute the rebates to the appropriate schools and tuition accounts.
4. Sunday May 31 is inventory day. Please submit your inventory reports promptly so that the rebate numbers are as accurate as possible for your supporters.
5. I will be gone May 27 through June 2. I may be short on inventory to send you next week because of the holiday on Monday, but be assured that the orders will be filled in full the week of 5/31. I will send you what I can on Tuesday next week.
6. Please encourage ScripNow! and reloads to help people maximize their Scrip rebate tuition credit. These summer days are the perfect opportunity to help people with that process. See the "Scrip on Your Phone and Computer" flyer link above. This explains how to use Scrip even when you can't purchase a new plastic card.
